The Denbigh War Memorial commemorates those local people who died
in World War I and World War II. The memorial is a life sized bronze figure
of Winged Peace, holding the Wreath of Glory, and was sculpted
by the English sculptor Charles Leonard Hartwell and unveiled in 1923. It
stands in Crown Square.
Denbigh (Welsh: Dinbych) is a town and community in Denbighshire and is located in the Vale of Clwyd. Between 1974 and 1996 the area was part of the county of Clwyd.
