The Pentre War Memorial commemorates those local people who died in two world wars. The memorial stands beside the Newbridge to Chirk road and takes the form of a red marble pillar surmounted by an urn.
The village of Pentre lies on the outskirts of the border town of Chirk in the County Borough of Wrexham. Until 1974, Pentre was in the historic county of Denbighshire and, from 1974 to 1996, in the county of Clwyd.
Many of the names also appear on the Chirk War Memorial.
