The Pontfadog War Memorial commemorates those local men of the Ceiriog Valley who were killed in World War I and World War II. It takes the form of an unpolished granite Celtic Cross standing on a stepped plinth and is sited near Pontfadog Bridge, across the River Ceiriog. The memorial was originally unveiled on 31 Jul 1920 and, again, on 7 November 1948.
Pontfadog is a rural village and ecclesiastical parish in the community of Glyntraean in the County Borough of Wrexham. Until 1974 the area was part of historic Denbighshire, and between 1974 and 1996 part of the county of Clwyd.
