The Sychdyn War Memorial takes the form of a stone gateway and commemorates those local men who died in World War I.
The village of Sychdyn (formerly know as Soughton in English) is in the parish of Northop, Flintshire. Until 1974 the area was part of historic Flintshire and, between 1974 and 1996, part of the county of Clwyd.
